Anyone who is anyone has dined at Nobu – the heavyweight of the Japanese dining scene – yet few have had the privilege of selecting its menu. But for one night only, Nobu Berkeley St is inviting guests to turn restaurant critic and decide which dishes make the cut on its April omakase tasting menu.

Those attending the Tastemakers dinner on March 20 will be greeted with a cocktail, which they will be asked to name on the night, before being taken on a five-course culinary odyssey served by the sushi bar and kitchen. Diners will judge two versions of each course (sampling 10 tasting-sized dishes in total) and choose their favourite based on execution and flavour. The interactive element of the meal sets the stage for a lively, fun-filled evening, which is priced £85 per person, including the welcome drink.

The five-course dinner (priced £85 per person) includes two dishes per course – guests will select a favourite based on presentation and taste
