Two superchefs come together for a celebratory dinner honouring International Women’s Day

The multi-Michelin-starred sensations collaborate on a five-course dinner showcasing their skills

Two of the world’s most celebrated chefs, French-born Anne-Sophie Pic and Northern Ireland’s Clare Smyth, will join forces in the kitchen on March 11 to create a five-course dinner to celebrate International Women’s Day (March 8) at La Dame de Pic restaurant within the Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square, in the City.

Pic currently holds seven Michelin stars across her four restaurants, while Smyth recently received two for her first solo restaurant, Core by Clare Smyth in Notting Hill – she also catered for Prince Harry’s wedding reception and was named World’s Best Female Chef at the World’s 50 Best Restaurants gala last year.

The dinner (priced £135 per person) will showcase signature dishes by both chefs. The menu is yet to be finalised, but diners can expect to be greeted with canapés, before being seated for an amuse-gueule of carrots with jasmine yoghurt and voatsiperifery pepper from Pic’s kitchen team. Smyth is planning to serve her starter of potato with dulse beurre blanc, herring and trout roe, followed by Pic’s first course of turbot with smoked beetroot rose and a grapefruit, batak berry pepper and hibiscus emulsion. The main is expected to be Wagyu beef with roasted wasabi, hispi cabbage parcels, geranium and Buddha’s-hand consommé.

Those with a penchant for dessert are promised a treat – a yet-to-be-revealed pre-dessert from the French team, followed by Smyth’s signature “Core-Teser”, a creamy mix of chocolate, malt and hazelnut, which will be served with coffee and petits fours. The wine pairing menu (priced around £85), overseen by La Dame de Pic’s executive sommelier Paz Levinson, will offer a selection sourced from leading female wine-makers and producers.
