Yogic bliss with bird’s-eye vistas

Guests at The Berkeley can experience sun salutations on its rooftop terrace for an uplifting yogic experience

The Berkeley plans to elevate the art of yoga this summer with daily rooftop classes – running from June 15 to October 1 – created in collaboration with neighbouring active-wear boutique Silou London, whose co-founder and yoga instructor Phoebe Greenacre will lead up to eight guests through an hour of poses designed for all yogis.

The luxury option includes a post-workout smoothie, protein balls made by the hotel’s pastry chef, a fruit platter, plus a half-day pool pass to enjoy a post-yoga swim and the spa facilities, priced £85 per person

From sun salutations to Savasana and restorative yoga to Vinyasa, the classes combine techniques and yoga styles, and guests can choose from two packages: the first offers a post-workout smoothie and use of the sauna and steam room, priced £65 per person, while the luxury option adds the delights of protein balls created by the hotel’s pastry chef, a fruit platter and a half-day pool pass to enjoy a post-yoga swim and the spa facilities, priced £85 per person.

Classes will be held in the morning, 8am-9am on weekdays, and 9am-10am on Sundays; a standard class includes a post-workout smoothie and use of the sauna and steam room, priced £65 per person

The hotel has wisely prepared for the unpredictable British summer weather. “Come the typical flash downpours, alternative arrangements have been made to host the yoga classes in our event space, The Motcomb Room, and all guests will be welcome to use the pool after as a little compensation,” says Greenacre. Namaste!
